Abstract
1,161,777. Thermally developable photosensitive materials. FUJI SHASHIN FILM K. K. Feb.20, 1967 [Feb.21, 1966], No. 8004/67. Heading G2C. A heat-developable, light-sensitive material comprising a support bearing a layer containing (a) silver benzotriazole which is light-insensitive, (b) an inorganic halide which forms a silver halide by reaction with (a), (c) a reducing agent and (d) an organic acid or salt thereof, (c) and (d) possibly being the same. The inorganic halide may be hydrogen, ammonium or any metal whereas the reducing agent is generally a developer, a saccharide or hydroxylamine hydrochloride. The organic acid is preferably a monocarboxylic acid with 9 to 26 carbon atoms, a dicarboxylic acid with 4 to 10 carbon atoms and hydroxyl substituted benzoic acids. The above ingredients are coated in one or two layers in polymeric binders on a support imagewise exposed and developed by heating to produce a stable image. A sensitizing dye, 1, 3-diphenyl guanidine, sodium chloroaurate or a metal oxide or hydroxide may also be added to the layer.
