Abstract
1,160,029. Cement composition. H. MAYER. 5 April, 1967 [10 Jan., 1967], No. 15512/67. Heading C3N. A dry cement-mix contains powdered magnesia and limestone, and NaCl and/or NaNO 3 . The magnesia is at least 80% by wt. MgO, and the limestone is at least 60% by wt. CaCO 3 . The mix may also contain 0À1-0À5% by wt. MgSO 4 , and/or 0À2-0À5% by wt. Na 2 SO 4 . The mix may contain by wt. 33-66% magnesia, 33-66% limestone and 2-5% NaCl or 5-10% NaNO 3 . A concrete may be formed from the mix, water, and sand or an aggregate. Salt water may be used. The aggregate may be coarse sand, gravel, asbestos, or sawdust which has previously been damped with aqueous NaCl or NaNO 3 , and then dried.
