Abstract

Decorative effect yarn consists in or comprises one or more continuous, coloured, uncoloured and/or differently coloured, ribbons or tapes of oriented i.e. stretched, stereoregular polypropylene film which may be helically twisted, intertwisted, compressed and crushed, folded or braided into the yarn form or a component thereof and/or such tapes or ribbons may be combined with conventional yarns, threads, strands, tapes, ribbons or filaments. The yarn may wholly or partly constitute the warp and/or weft of woven fabric which may also incorporate conventional yarns &c.
