Abstract

1,035,591. Skirting board room-air heaters. RADIANT BASEBOARD PANELS Inc. Jan. 26, 1965 [March 10, 1964], No. 3331/65. Heading F4S. A skirting board room-air heater comprises a tubular metal element 34 supported on brackets 16 and having a plurality of rectangular fins 36, each fin having notches in the top and bottom edges adjacent the front and rear side edges of the fins, and baffles 46, 48 of metal or plastics material having inturned edges which engage in the notches so that the baffles cover the front and rear sides of the fins. As shown the heater comprises a back panel 10 on which is positioned a plurality of the support brackets 16 and an integral plate 20 which supports a return tube 24 and a front panel 32, and which has a notch 26 into which is snapped a pivotable damper 28. The tube fins 36 may be stiffened by ribs 38 and have corners which are cut back and radiused so that the baffles 46, 48, which may be made of metal or plastic, can be snapped into position.
