Abstract

An orally administrable pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis comprises d-pantothenic acid, or salt thereof, and 10-hydroxy-D 2-decenoic acid, or salt thereof, if desired in admixture with an excipient, the composition being in the form of a dosage unit having an enteric coating or being disposed with an enteric container. The sodium or calcium salt of d-pantothenic acid may be used. The excipient, enteric coatings and containers may be conventional ones. An example describes the active ingredients, together with lactose, filled into hard gelatin capsules enterically coated with cellulose acetate phthalate or keratin.
