Abstract

1,027,137. Screening apparatus. RHEWUM RHEINISCHE WERKZEUG-UND MACHINENENFABRIK G.m.b.H. Dec.10, 1964 [Dec.13, 1963], No. 50248/64. Heading B2H. A vibratory screening machine has a screen 3 mounted in a frame 2 secured in a box 1 and vibrated by means of rams 7 resiliently mounted above the screen in contact therewith and driven by means of a vibrator 10 arranged on a support 9 which is so mounted as to prevent the vibrations imparted thereto from being transmitted to the box 1. The box has an inlet 5 for material to be screened and an outlet 6 for toppings. In Fig. 1 a number of rams 7 are resiliently mounted on the support 9 which is spaced from the box 1 by springs 8. An electro-magnetic vibrator 10 is arranged on the support 9. In Fig. 2, the rams are associated in groups, each of which has its own vibrator 10 mounted on a corresponding support 9. A number of screens may be arranged in tiers and may have a common vibrator or separate vibrators.
