Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1025699/C2/1> wherein R1 is H or an alkyl radical having 1-3 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 are H, hydroxy, alkoxy or aralkoxy radicals or jointly form a methylene dioxy radical, and n is 2 or 3, and acid addition salts thereof, and the preparation thereof by the following methods: (1) reducing an N1,N1 - diphenylalkylene - diamine together with an appropriately substituted phenylacetone; (2) reaction of diphenylamine with an appropriate N-haloalkyl-N-b -phenylisopropylamine; (3) reaction of a b -phenylisopropylamine with an N-haloalkyldiphenylamine; (4) reduction of the corresponding carboxylic acid amide. (11 - Methyl - 2 - phenylethylamino) - acetic acid diphenylamide is prepared by reacting N-diphenyl-chloroacetamide with 1-phenyl-2-aminopropane. N1,N1 - Diphenyl - N2 - acetyl-N2 - [11 - methyl - 21 - (411 - benzyloxyphenyl)-ethyl] - propylene - 1,3 - diamine is prepared by reacting acetic anhydride in pyridine with N1,N1 - diphenyl - N2 - [11 - methyl - methyl-21-(411 - benzyloxyphenyl) - ethyl] - propylene-1,3-diamine.
