Abstract

1,016,053. Liquid applicators. MINICLEANS Ltd. Oct. 16, 1964 [July 18, 1963], No. 28445/63. Heading A4K. Cleaning or other liquid is sealed in a thin-walled glass ampoule 7 which is broken, by squeezing resilient tube 1, to release it for application by a nozzle, pad, brush or wick 3. The tube 1 may be of polyethylene and the wick may consist of parallel fibres 4 in a woven sleeve 5. The applicators are held together and the wicks are clamped in place by a pressing operation at elevated temperture which forms a breakable seal 8 between them.
