Abstract

1,005,689. Helmets. A. M. BUSCHMANN. July 13, 1964 [July 12, 1963], No. 27619/63. Heading A3V. [Also in Division G2] A head band on a crash helmet for a motor cyclist supports a rear view mirror on an adjustable portion. The mirror 8 is pivotally mounted on a telescopic arm attached to the head band. When the head band forms part of a helmet 10, the mirror is supported from a peak 11 by a rod 12. The rod 12 is fixed to a rod 13 which moves in a sleeve 14, the sleeve being movable in a direction transverse to its length so that the mirror can be adjusted to any de sired position. The helmet 10 is also equipped with a battery-operated bulb 22, an anti-dazzle screen 17, an eye shield (not shown) mounted on studs 23 and a resperator.
