[Also in Division B4] A toothbrush has two curved brushes b 1 , b 2 capable of pivoting relative to the handle a by means of a slider c attached to the handle a. The brushes pivot about bearings f 1 , from a position in which they both lie side-by-side along the length of the handle to the position shown in Fig. 1. The slider c has forked ends d 1 , d 2 with pegs h 1 , h 2 which engage slots h 1 , k 2 in the back of the brushes so that by pushing the slider c along the handle the brushes pivot about the bearings. The slider has a profiled guide rail r 2 engaging a channel formed in the handle a.
