Abstract

1,001,551. Wells &c. GRAY TOOL CO. Dec. 6, 1963 [Feb. 25, 1963], No. 48353/63. Heading E1F. In a wellhead 10 hold-down devices 32 respectively hold down pipe hangers 22, 38 and support hangers 38, 52. The devices are moved in apertures 58 in the wellhead into and out of engagement with the hangers by means of screws 68 having threads 70, 72 of opposite hand. The hanger 38 is sealed in the bore of the wellhead by a deflectable lip and a ring seal 44. Specification 757,336 is referred to.
