Abstract
1,000,078. Diagnostic device. DIAGNOSTO ASSOCIATES Ltd. June 3, 1964, No. 22909/ 64. Heading A5R. A diagnostic device for the detection and location of internal anatomical abnormalities, such as blood discharge, comprises an elongated member 10 proportioned so that it may be swallowed, the member carrying a number of radiopaque position indicating 14,15 and being provided with a removable sheath 21 of absorbent material. As described, the device comprises a tube 10 of flexible, elastic, and transparent plastics material in which is arranged a wire 11 graduated with marker blocks enclosing numerals 15 of lead, the tube being covered with a cotton sheath 21 held by elastic bands 22, 23. The device is provided with a weighted bag 20 containing mercury.
