Abstract

1,098,851. Wall brackets. S. HILLE & CO. Ltd. and VERSATILE FITTINGS (W.H.S.) Ltd. Oct. 5, 1964 [Oct. 3, 1963], No. 39073/63. Heading A4B. A wall bracket for use in built-in furniture comprises a T or cruciform section arm 2 having at or adjacent one end a perpendicular flat faced plate portion 12 (or 12<SP>1</SP>) for connection to a wall fixing member 1 and having adjacent its other end a downwardly projecting lug 10 having an elongated aperture (11) for attachment of a panel member. The panel member (P, P 1 , P 2 ) may be a side or partition wall of a cupboard mounted to and between two vertically and adjustably spaced bracket arms 2. The arm 2 may support a shelf. The wall fixing may comprise a vertical channel 1 embedded in a wall W, the flanges 3 of the channel 1 being formed at their ends to provide a neck 6 through which is passed a bolt 8 engaging a nut 7 which preferably joins itself within the channel 1. Alternatively (Fig. 4) the bracket portion (12<SP>1</SP>) may be set inwardly of the end of the arm 2 to engage a horizontal channel 1 secured to the wall W.
