Abstract

1,098,018. Seed-sowing machines. G. J. BENAC and R. L. B. BENAC. April 15, 1966 [April 16, 1965], No. 16638/66. Heading A1D. A seed drill has a ground-engaging skishaped shoe 12 adjustably mounted on arms 7 which carry a disc coulter 3 arranged for movement about a vertical pivot 5 in a frame 4. A tool bar 1 carries the frame 4 and also a seed sowing unit 2 with share 21. The shoe 12 has a longitudinal slot which accommodates the disc coulter and also a blade coulter 9 carrying a fertilizer pipe 11. The rear end of the shoe is carried by a pivoted, adjustable bar 18.
