Abstract
1,095,767. Optical objectives. WILD HEERBRUGG A. G. and L. J. BERTELE. April 7, 1965, No. 14745/65. Heading G2J. A wide angle lens has a negative front member A, two positive middle members B, C separated by a diaphragm B1 and a negative rear member D, each member B, C having a positive element L2, L5, of greater refractive index cemented by a convex surface r 4 , r 7 to a concave surface of a negative element L 3 , L 4 of lesser refractive index adjacent the diaphragm, one of the members, as shown, member B consisting solely of such cemented doublet and the other member having an additional negative element L 6 which is a meniscus concave towards the diaphragm and is located at a distance from the positive element L 5 which is between 0 and 0À12 times the focal length of the objective. The negative meniscus element may be located in member B, Fig. 2 (not shown), or cemented to make member C into a cemented triplet, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), the rear member D in Fig. 4 having two negative elements. Optical data are given for the four examples.
