Abstract

Sulphochlorides of olefinic, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds are prepared by reating said compounds with a mixture of pyrosulphuryl chloride and dimethyl formamide. The preparation of sulphochlorides of styrene, 4-methoxybenzene, thiophene, acenaphthane, dihydronaphthalene, camphene and coumarone are exemplified.
