Abstract

A combined tooth-cleaning and oral hygiene agent comprises an aqueous suspension containing a humectant, a polishing agent which consists of pyrogenic silica mixed oxides, e.g. containing Al2O3, hydrophobised pyrogenic silica or finely divided precipitated silica and a thickener consisting of finely divided pyrogenic silica. Optional additional ingredients include binders, foaming and wetting agents, lubricants, flavours and oral cosmetic ingredients, e.g. camomile extract, myrrh and sage, aluminium lactate, tannin, lactic acid, pepsin, vitamins, enzymes and chlorophyll.
