Abstract
The invention comprises as novel compounds the organic base salts of N-carbamyl-dl and l-aspartic acids which are prepared by salifying the acid with the appropriate base. Suitable bases mentioned are morpholine, methyl-glucamine, amphetamine, pyridoxine, choline, lysine, arginine, ornithine, piperazine, dimethylaminoethanol and di-isopropylamine. Therapeutic compositions which have a hepatotropic effect and other activity and which may be administered orally, parenterally or rectally, comprise an organic base salt of N-carbamyl-dl or l-aspartic acid as active ingredient.
