Abstract
1,074,843. Electromagnets. DANFOSS A.S. July 26, 1965 [Aug. 7, 1964], No. 31767/65. Heading H1P. In an electromagnet, the coil 1 is retained within a U-shaped yoke 7 by means of a pair of ferromagnetic sleeves 19 urged against the yoke 7 by resilient means such as non-ferromagnetic helical spring 18. The sleeves 19 preferably have reduced diameter at their ends so as to fit into holes 11 in the arms of the yoke 7. The coil 1 may have plastic insulation 6 carrying leads 5 and has a locating pip 4 which may be selectively engaged into one of three apertures in the lower leg of the yoke. The core 1 is thus easily removable and may be replaced with different orientation of the leads 5. The sleeves 19 may be slotted or complete.
