Abstract

Compositions comprise crystalline polypropylene at least 70 weight per cent of which is insoluble in boiling n-heptane and which has a molecular weight of 50,000 to 300,000 and a specific gravity of 0.88 to 0.91, and 10 to 70 weight per cent of the composition of natural talc powder. The compositions may be made into sheets and other shaped articles. Examples describe compositions of stabilized polypropylene with various talc powders and in comparative compositions asbestos, silica, clay, mica and diatomaceous earth.
