In a multi-storey garage comprising at least two helical structures 10, 12 interconnected between adjacent floor levels by bridge means, as shown, 16 each structure is composed of vertical columns 38, 40, edge beams of L- shaped cross-section and floor beams of T- shaped cross-section made of reinforced concrete. The garage is provided with entrance and exit means 18, 20 respectively together with lifts 45, 46, safety railings such as 50, 52 and bumpers 42. The floor beams are also provided with anchorages for vertical spring- loaded cables 43 interconnected by horizontal cables to define an additional safety railing.
