Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1068036/C2/1> wherein X is oxygen or sulphur, Y is -CO- or -SO2, R1 is a lower alkenyl-, alkoxyalkyl- or alkyl radical, R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, are low molecular weight alkenyl-, alkoxyalkyl or alkyl radicals or hydrogen, preferably only one hydrogen atom being linked directly to the nitrogen in each case, R4 is a low-molecular weight alkoxyalkyl-, alkenyl- or alkyl radical, R5 and R6, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen, lower alkenyl-, alkoxyalkyl, halogen or nitro-substituted aryl radicals or lower alkyl radicals. They may be prepared by (i) reacting a compound of the formula <FORM:1068036/C2/2> where Hal represents halogen with an alcohol or mercaptan of the formula R1-X-H in the presence of an acid binding, preferably at elevated temperature, or (ii) by alkylating, e.g. with dimethyl sulphate, the corresponding mercapto-triazine compound.ALSO:A plant growth regulating composition comprises, as active constituent, at least one compound of the formula: <FORM:1068036/A5-A6/1> wherein X is oxygen or sulphur, Y is -CO-or -SO2, R1 is lower alkenyl, alkoxyalkyl- or alkyl, R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, are low-molecular weight alkenyl-, alkoxyalkyl- or alkyl radicals or hydrogen atoms, preferably only one hydrogen atom being linked directly to the nitrogen in each case, R4 is a low-molecular weight alkoxyalkyl-, alkenyl or alkyl radical, R5 and R6, which may be the same or different are hydrogen, lower alkenyl-, alkoxyalkyl-, halogen- or nitro-substituted aryl radicals or lower alkyl radicals. The active compounds may be employed in solutions, suspensions, as pastes, or supported on an inert carrier and conventional additives may be added to the compositions. They may be applied alone or in admixture with other herbicides, insecticides, fungicides or fertilizers.
