A twin-cutter head for cutting circular-arc flanks on bevel gears comprises an internal cutter-head (1) surrounded by an external cutter-head (2), the cutters being relatively adjustable to vary the distance between their axes, the internal cutter serving to cut concave flanks (13) and the external cutter the convex flanks (8). The blades are secured by screws. The adjustment of the cutter heads may be by a pivoting or sliding movement.
