Abstract

1,065,707. Mantle carriers. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION. March 25, 1966 [March 26, 1965]. No. 13276/66. Heading F4T. A mantle having open upper and lower ends is supported in a lantern by an arrangement which includes a mouthpiece 3, screwed into a gas chamber 2 on the end of a mixing tube 1, to receive the upper end of the mantle and a boss 9, to receive the lower end, supported by a rod 8 extending from a plate 6 which has an aperture engaging a collar portion on the mouthpiece 3. In modifications the rod 8 has a loop to engage the mouthpiece 3 or is riveted direct to the burner. More than one supporting rod may be provided.
