Abstract

1,060,923. Concrete mixers. K. HAGELE and H. JAGER, [trading as ZYKLOS METALLBAU KOMM GES DIPL INS KARL]. March 1, 1965 [March 30, 1964], No. 8648/65. Heading B1C. A mixer with a rotatable pan 1 has main rotatable radial arm stirrers 20 eccentrically arranged therein; auxiliary rotatable radial arm stirrers 26 (see also Figs. 3 and 4 not shown) which may be slightly twisted like propellers, situated between guide plates 39, 40; a separating blade 50; and a fixed or adjustable ploughshare-like blade 51. The auxiliary stirrers 26 can be raised out of the mix during operation. There is a resiliently supported scraper blade 44 (see also Figs. 5 and 6, not shown) which is vertically, radially and pivotably adjustable. The separating blade 50 is half the depth of the pan and is carried on an arm 52 pivotable at 54 from an upper inoperative position to a lower operative position in which the blade is in contact with the bottom of the pan and part of the mix flows over it; in this position it acts also as a guide blade to discharge the pan. All the stirrers and blades together with their drive motors and actuators are suspended from a cover plate which is pivotable to swing them out of the pan, which may be removable. The pan has a central bottom discharge opening closed by a lid 5 which also supports the pan so that it rotates on the pivot 6 under the reaction of the mix; the pan is restrained by guides, 3 4 which may incorporate roller bearings. The stirrers are rotated by electric motors and adjusted by hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders as 10, 56 (see also Figs. 3 and 6, not shown).
