Abstract

An oral hygiene agent can be applied by manually rubbing or masticating, thereby eliminating the need for a toothbrush. Said agent contains cleaning elements, which are preferably polystyrene balls that are 0.5 to 5 mm in diameter. The oral hygiene agent can be in the form of a liquid, a paste or even a chewable solid. An effervescence agent may also be present.
