Abstract

A retaining device comprises a base 5 and article engaging members 9 which can retain an article with a circular cross-section. Each article engaging member may be an arcuate arm which extends approximately 120 degrees around the article, and the arms may be resilient. The device may be attached to a vehicle to prevent a gas cylinder from rolling.
