Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un Procédé de valorisation de retardateurs de flamme bromés comprenant les étapes de : a) Fourniture d’une matière plastique comprenant un retardateur de flamme A constitué d’une chaine carbonée substituée par au moins deux atomes de brome ; b) Récupération d’une composition comprenant ledit retardateur de flamme A; c) Mise en contact dans un solvant organique de ladite composition comprenant ledit retardateur de flamme A avec un composé A’ sélectionné parmi le groupe consistant en Na2S2, K2S2, un alkylxanthate de potassium ou de sodium, et un composé de formule Y-SH  dans lequel Y est un métal alcalin, un métal alcalino-terreux, un métal sélectionné parmi les terres rares, un motif –C(NH2)=NH, ou –C(NR1R2)=NR3 avec R1, R2, R3 étant indépendamment les uns des autres H ou C1-C10 alkyle à condition que R1, R2, R3 ne soient pas simultanément H ; pour former un mélange C comprenant un composé B constitué d’une chaine carbonée substituée par au moins deux groupes fonctionnels –SH ; d) Purification du mélange C obtenu et récupération dudit composé B.
