L’invention concerne un arçon de selle (1), notamment pour équin, réalisé au moins partiellement en matériaux composites, caractérisé en ce qu’il comporte un châssis (2) et une assise (3) assujettie sur ledit châssis, ledit châssis étant au moins partiellement formé en un premier composite pourvu de bois, de fibres de carbone et de fibres de verre, et ladite assise étant au moins partiellement formée en un deuxième composite.
