La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de contrôle d'accès dans au moins un espace sécurisé fermé par au moins un élément d'accès (1) munie d'un dispositif de verrouillage, ledit procédé consistant à réaliser, à l'aide d'un dispositif de contrôle d'accès comprenant au moins un appareil portable communicant destiné à être porté par un utilisateur (4) et au moins un lecteur de contrôle d'accès (3) dédié audit élément d'accès et destiné à être connecté au dispositif de verrouillage correspondant, une étape de recherche, une étape de connexion, et une étape d'authentification. Il consiste en outre, suite à l'étape de connexion, dès que le dispositif détecte un éloignement de l'utilisateur à déconnecter automatiquement et sensiblement instantanément le lecteur de contrôle d'accès (3) de l'appareil portable communicant.
