Abstract

Un dispositif de localisation comprend un capteur (11) et une unité de traitement (12) électronique comportant une unité de mémorisation (13) dans laquelle sont stockées des données relatives au positionnement d'éléments remarquables situés dans un environnement (2). L'unité de mémorisation (13) stocke des données d'intégrité associées chacune à au moins un élément remarquable et à une région de l'environnement (2). L'unité de traitement (12) est conçue pour déterminer une position du véhicule (1) en mettant en correspondance des données relatives au positionnement d'éléments remarquables, stockées dans l'unité de mémorisation (13), avec des données représentatives de l'environnement (2) du véhicule (1) obtenues au moyen dudit capteur (11), seulement pour des éléments remarquables associés à une donnée d'intégrité indicative de fiabilité pour la région courante. Un dispositif de production de données d'intégrité est également décrit.
