Gilet de protection pare-coups destiné à recouvrir au moins une partie du torse et du dos d'un utilisateur comportant : - au moins une partie frontale comportant une couche externe et une couche interne définissant un volume frontal, - au moins une partie dorsale comportant une couche externe et une couche interne définissant un volume dorsal, - au moins un ensemble de protection 29 destiné à renforcer la partie frontale ou la partie dorsale, l'ensemble de protection 29 étant reçu dans au moins un des volumes frontal ou dorsal. L'ensemble de protection 29 comporte une pluralité de plaques de protection 35 solidaires les unes des autres et fixées entre elles dans des zones de fixation 37 prévues sur lesdites plaques 35.
