Abstract

The invention relates to a double or single notebook with an integrated device, solidarity or independent for manually rolling regular cigarettes without having to endure a long initiation and discouraging or resort to bulky and unsatisfactory machines. Solidarity, the device is part of the cover of the double book: its flap protection. The small surface of the flap of a simple notebook does not allow a device integral with the cover. It is therefore independent and incorporated in the notebook to replace "the protective sheet" for example. In one or the other variant, it comprises a succession of longitudinal joints (3) and a rigid band (4) which allow the user to use it as a high performance carpet for rolling cigarettes. The notebook of rolling sheets incorporating the device according to the invention is particularly intended for manually making cigarettes.

Description

The present invention relates to a notebook of rolling papers (cigaettes) with an integrated device for manually making cigarettes.

Rolling cigarettes is traditionally done with bare hands, or using a machine (rolling machine or mold-jokes).

The lack of ergonomics is such that to roll a suitable cigarette with bare hands requires a long initiation as tedious as discouraging. As for machines, besides the bulky side they impose, the expected result is often disappointing (unsatisfactory packing, unstable filter, etc.).

The integrated device according to the invention overcomes these disadvantages.

Simple (fig.2) or double (fig-1), the notebook of rolling sheets in use consists of a stock of leaves and a blanket. The blanket, made from rigid card stock, consists of a compartment (2) that houses the sheets and a flap (1) to protect them.

If the flap of the notebook in use has no other role than to ensure the protection of the leaves, that of the notebook according to the present invention, sees itself taking the function of a device for rolling cigarettes very regular.

Indeed, it is to bring the flap a transverse flexibility which, combined with its original longitudinal stiffness, will allow it to be rolled and unfold in the manner of a mat that will serve to mold the cigarette in the making.

The flap will therefore undergo a shaping operation whose objective is to reduce or weaken its thickness on specific areas (Fig.13). As an indication and not limitation, the shaping process may be creasing, scraping, crushing, perforation, etc.

The result of the shaping operation, whatever the method used, must result in a succession of longitudinal joints, parallel and spaced approximately 3 to 4 millimeters (Fig.3 and 4).

Said joints (3) occupy the entire surface of the flap except for a longitudinal band which will be called a rigid band (4), situated at its outer edge and about 9 millimeters wide (Figs 3 and 4).

Each articulaticulation (3) must be able to pivot on an angle of approximately 360 °.

Because of the small dimensions of the simple notebook in use (fig.2), the device can not constitute a solidarity part of the cover like the double book (fig.3).

According to a particular embodiment to overcome this insufficiency, the device will be independent (fig.4) and integrate the book by incorporation (by way of non-limiting example, replacing the "protection sheet" provided by some manufacturers).

The independent device has the same dimensions, or almost, as a sheet to roll. Its technical characteristics are identical to those of the double notebook described above: • it is made of rigid cardboard (or other similar and workable material), • it comprises a succession of articulations (3) pivoting about 360 °, parallel and spaced 3 to 4 millimeters apart, • it comprises a rigid band (4) about 9 millimeters wide at one of its longitudinal edges, • the independent device is used in the same or almost the same way as the device in solidarity with the cover of the double carnet.

Intended essentially to equip the simple notebooks, the independent device could very well be incorporated in a double notebook or even in other articles for smoker such as filter bags or packets of rolling tobacco.

Referring to these drawings, folded inward (fig.5), the rigid band (4) of the flap of the double book comes into abutment to the rolling sheet (5) during its positioning (fig.6). Completely pressed onto it under the pressure of the tobacco (7) and the filter (8), it holds it in pincers and stabilizes it by preventing it from shifting during the action of rolling.

The flexibility of the flap acquired through the joints (3) allows the user (after positioning the sheet to roll) to create an open sheath in which he distributes tobacco and filter (Fig.7). It then rolls the flap, on itself, upwards, to release the lower edge of the sheet by disengaging the rigid band (4) (fig.8). The next step is to roll down, as far as possible, to apply a pre-wetting * (9) under the gum (6) taking care not to contaminate it with saliva (fig.9) .

Finally, the user rolls upwards as far as possible, pulls the cigarette aside (fig.10) and makes the final collage.

In order to remove the cigarette, when positioning the sheet to be rolled, the user must ensure that the device is overflowing by about 7 millimeters (filter side) (fig.6).

The instructions for use of the independent device are almost identical to that of the cover, except for pre-wetting * (9): it is recommended that the user bend the gummed edge of the sheet towards the back. to false about 9 millimeters (this width corresponds to that of the rigid band or almost) to put the gum (6) to the shelter of saliva. Indeed, the gum (6) humidified could hang the movable edge of the device to its contact and prevent it from moving forward. * A sheet rolled with a carpet does not form a cylinder naturally. Its movable edge tends to be anxious to advance to pass the opposite edge (Fig. 11).

The solution of this problem is to apply a preliminary moistening (9) below the rubber (6) because in contact with the moisture brought, the movable edge of the sheet stops in its race and folds on itself to allow the formation of a cylinder.

According to a variant not shown, the rigid longitudinal band may disappear: the flap or the independent device may comprise a succession of joints (3) over their entire surface. They would then have a color or graphic code to materialize or delimit a wide band of about 9 millimeters. Indeed, the stiffness allows a better release of the rigid strip while the flexibility promotes a better stabilization of the sheet in abutment.

1) A double or single book rolling sheets with an integrated device for manually making cigarettes characterized in that a component part comprises a succession of longitudinal joints (3), which combined with its original stiffness, him provides the flexibility to roll or roll like a carpet.
