Abstract

The motor vehicle seat comprises: a backrest (6) comprising a front face (43a); a horizontal squab (10) mounted so as to pivot on the backrest (6) and comprising an upper face (10a); a locking mechanism (44) for alternately preventing or allowing the rotation of the squab with respect to the backrest into a folded position in which the squab extends vertically, its upper face (10a) facing the front face (43a) of the backrest; a fastening member (9), mounted on the backrest (6), for alternately fastening the backrest to the chassis or releasing it from the latter; and a forward movement control system (15) for moving the backrest (6) with respect to the chassis from a nominal position to a forward position.
