Abstract

The method involves automatically determining a set of coordinates and/or dimensions of a target frame (Cc) in which a topic of interest is located. A set of dimensions of the target frame is determined with regard to an image and a maximum video band-width. An optimal resolution that is lower or equal to a maximum resolution is determined for transmission of the image corresponding to the target frame via a digital link (4). An animated video sequence of optimal image resolution of the target frame is transmitted via the link at a rate of number of frames per second. An independent claim is also included for a device for acquisition and transmission of digital images of an animated video sequence.
