Abstract

L'invention concerne l'activation à distance, par un équipement source (SRC), d'un équipement destinataire (DEST) connecté à l'équipement source par l'intermédiaire d'au moins un équipement intermédiaire (INT ), cet équipement intermédiaire et l'équipement destinataire étant initialement en mode veille et formant une suite d'équipements successifs. Pour ce faire, au niveau de chaque équipement intermédiaire, un message d'activation à distance (WoL), comprenant une suite d'adresses (MAC(INT ), MAC(INT )) associées successivement à chaque équipement (INT , INT ) de la suite d'équipements successifs, est reçu (10) puis retransmis (30) vers l'équipement suivant, dans la suite d'équipements successifs, au moyen de la suite d'adresses. Lorsque ce message d'activation à distance, retransmis par l'ensemble des équipements intermédiaires, est reçu par l'équipement destinataire, cet équipement destinataire est alors activé (40).
