Abstract

Use of a gaseous medium comprising at least one 4C-polyfluorinated oxirane and 3C-hydrofluoroolefin, as an electrical insulating gas and/or electric arc extinction in a medium voltage electrical appliance, is claimed. An independent claim is included for the medium voltage electrical appliance comprising a sealed enclosure and the gaseous medium to provide electrical isolation and/or extinguishing arcs that occurs within the enclosure.
