Abstract
L'invention concerne un système de freinage d'une roue d'un véhicule comprenant un disque (20) fixé sur un moyeu de la roue, deux plaquettes de freins (14, 15) disposées de part et d'autre du disque (20), et un étrier (10), destiné à être relié avec une carrosserie du véhicule, maintenant les deux plaquettes de freins, ledit étrier (10) comportant au moins un maître cylindre (22) et au moins un piston (21) apte à se déplacer dans le maître cylindre, le piston étant apte à déplacer les plaquettes de freins entre une position de repos et une position de freinage, caractérisé en ce que l'étrier comporte un dispositif de mesure du déplacement du piston lorsque l'on passe de la position de repos à la position de freinage, un indicateur indiquant l'état d'usure des plaquettes de freins (14, 15) à partir d'une mesure fournie par le dispositif de mesure.
