Abstract

The method involves transmitting short distance radiofrequency (RF) signal (17) comprising an identifier of an RF transmitter module (14), at constant intervals from the module. The transmitted signal is received by a RF receiver module (15). The received signal is processed by comparing received signal power level with a predetermined threshold value. Alert signal containing the identifier, utilized for controlling actuation of an alarm to deliver sound or light information, to a person, is transmitted to assure safety when the power level is higher than the threshold value. The receiver or the transmitter is attached to an identification badge and/or safety equipment selected from a group comprising a helmet, glasses, a belt, a shoe and a glove. An independent claim is also included for a system for securing a person working in a shared environment.
