Abstract

The decorative cut edge is formed down the lateral edges of the material, and across the lines where sheets are separated. The process for the production of sheets of material, such as disposable handkerchiefs, includes use a continuous band of material (1), the edges of which (1') are folded in towards the central region (1). The band is then passed over a roller which includes cutters on its cylindrical surface (3).
