Abstract

The device (14) has a piston (25) occupying a locked position in which the piston immobilizes a connecting unit (11) and an unlocked position in which the piston is away from the unit. An indexer (34) controls the piston towards the locking position when the unit is arranged against a thrust surface (38). The piston is forced towards the bottom by a spring (27) which is supported on a stopper (28), where the stopper is forcibly fitted or screwed in a boring (24). An independent claim is also included for a tool for a connecting unit for a cable.
