Abstract
Description
PROJETPROJECT
Pollution from the Prestige tanker (Oct. 2002) resulted in a massive arrival of hydrocarbons on the beaches of the Atlantic coast in the form of pellets of variable diameter, very dirty for textiles and for the skin. The cleaning operation is possible at home thanks to the application of edible peanut oil on a simple sheet of paper cellulose: the residues very easily leave in all harmlessness for the epidermis. The device consists of the adapted packaging of n woven or non-woven fiber wipes, pre-impregnated with fatty acids of formula CH 3 (CH2) n - COOH, saturated or poly unsaturated fatty acid, for amnbuletic use, before arrival at home of victims of oil stains. These disposable, single-use wipes are 1 to 2mm thick, approximately 20 cm x 20 cm in diameter, single or double-sided. Two presentations are possible; a) individual kits with batches of 4 to 6 wipes combined in resealable plastic bags.
A standing container, at the entrance and exit of the beaches for a collective distribution of wipes individually, also packaged in plastic bags; a bin adjacent to the container is provided.
