Abstract

This system comprises an obstacle or stop introduced inside or outside or both at the same time, of the twist (2) of the corkscrew so that this obstacle or stop can slide along this twist and be blocked at a desired height of the latter to adjust the distance of penetration of the auger into the plug. This obstacle is preferably constituted by a cylindrical sheath (1), which slides over the entire length of the auger and at the inside which is another stop (8) fixed on a rod (5) which crosses it horizontally and which slides along grooves on two parallel faces of the sheath (1). This stop (8) can be blocked at the desired height, which prevents the spinner from piercing the cork and causing cork crumbs to fall into the liquid.

  The present invention relates to a system for centering the point of penetration of the corkscrew wick or twist in the cork and also for adjusting its penetration distance as a function of the different cork lengths used, in particular for bottles of wine, which according to the vintages, have more or less short corks, thus avoiding to pierce them and in doing so to drop crumbs of

plug in the liquid.

  It is characterized by an obstacle or stop introduced inside or outside or both at the same time, of the corkscrew's tendril so that this obstacle or stop can slide along this tendril and be blocked at a desired height from this

  - last to adjust the penetration distance of the spin in the plug.

  This obstacle, which preferably will consist of a cylindrical sheath (1) fig 1, 2 and 3, which partially envelops the spin (2) fig: 4 & 5, so that it can slide over its entire length and be block at the desired height. This sheath flares slightly at its base (ibis) fig. 1,2 & 3, and is provided with small pins (Iter) so that it can be pressed onto the top of the stopper between the birth of the neck of the bottle (3) fig. 4 & 5, so it will guide the penetration of the spin well in the center of the stopper. To adjust the penetration depth, the sheath (1) is provided with grooves (4) fig. 1,2 & 3 on two parallel faces in which slides a transverse rod (5) - fig. 1, crossing it horizontally and passing through is the spin (2) of the corkscrew which will screw on and lock when the stop (8) fig 1, which equips the rod (5) and which it slides inside the spin, will come up against the heel of the spin (6)

  By sliding this transverse rod along the slots (4) and blocking it at a desired height - by any blocking means such as a pawl or push button, or by a wheel, (7) fig 3, which will be screwed onto a thread located on the outside of the sheath (1). The distance between the base (ibis) of the sheath (1) and the stop (8) of the transverse rod (5) will be more or less long and will thus block the penetration of the tendril more or less deeply in the stopper when it comes abut the - 2 - heel of the spin (6), which will prevent it from piercing it and causing

cork crumbs in the liquid.

Claims (6)

  1. System allowing the penetration point of the wick or twist (2) of the corkscrew to be properly centered in the cork and also to adjust its penetration distance according to the different lengths of cork used, thus avoiding piercing them and this causing plug crumbs to fall into the liquid, comprising an obstacle (1) or stop introduced inside or outside or both, of the corkscrew's spin (2) so that that this obstacle or stop can slide along this spin and be blocked at a desired height of the latter to   adjust the penetration distance of the twist (2) in the plug.   2. System according to claim 1, characterized in that this obstacle consists of a cylindrical sheath (1) which slides over the entire length of the twist (2) and inside which is another stop (8 ) fixed on a rod (5) which crosses it horizontally and which slides along grooves (4) located on   two parallel faces of the sheath (1).   3. System according to claim 2, characterized in that said sheath (1) is capable of being locked at the desired height by any means such as a pawl or push button, or by a wheel (7) which is screwed onto a thread finding on the outside of the sheath (1).   4. System according to one of claims 2 or 3, characterized in that   that the sheath (1) flares slightly at its base (lbis).   5. System according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterized in that   the sheath (1) is provided with small pins (iter) in order to be able to be pressed on the top of the stopper between the birth of the neck of the bottle (3) and thus guide the penetration of   the spin well in the center of the cap.   6. System according to one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that   that, by sliding this transverse rod (5) which carries said other stop (8), along the slots (4), and by blocking it at a desired height, the distance between the base (ibis) of the sheath (1 ) and the transverse rod (5) is more or less long and thus blocks the penetration of the spin more or less deeply into the stopper when it abuts against the heel of the spin (6), which makes it possible to avoid that she pierces it and does   drop cork crumbs into the liquid.
