Abstract

The pivoting door or window comprises a fixed frame (10) and a hinged section with a mechanism which acts between the frame and the hinged section. The mechanism is constituted by movable locking pins (25) which are mounted on an activating rod located along bars (11 -14) forming the hinged section or frame. The mechanism also has stationary fastening parts (15) which are fixed in frame or hinged section bars. The activating rod can be displaced by means of a handle (30) by which the locking pins can be led (45) into two operating positions relative to the associated fasteners. One position (25) characterising the closed position and the other position (25') the pivoting position of the hinged section. Two horizontal and two vertical bars are connected in pairs to form the hinged section. After their connection they form two corners (31,33) located at the side of strap hinges and two corners (32,34) located on the opening side of the frame and the hinged section. The window fasteners are mounted at identical distances in the uprights and horizontal bars forming the frame or hinged section.
