Abstract

The support (1) and at least one injector group (2) are defined as a single block formed by extrusion. The injector group includes a series of gas injectors (6) arranged at constant intervals along its length and corresponding axially with circular openings (4) formed in the support. The injector group is attached to the support portion by an intermediate arm (3). The assembly is extruded as either an L-section or a U-section blank, including the tubular body of the injector group, for supporting one or two sets of gas injectors respectively. The holes in the support face and locating points for the gas injectors are machined in a subsequent operation.
