Abstract

The chamber pot consists of a seat (11) and a central recess which is lined by a disposable bag (20). The bag is held in place by self-adhesive fastening tabs (31,32,33) and a draw string (30) which passes through a hem round the neck of the bag and is fastened round the post's outer lateral surface. An additional adhesive tab (4) is designed to close the top of the bag after the draw string has been pulled tight. The draw string is long enough to pass through the neck hem and extend down the front of the pot and around its sides for fastening. The disposable back is made from an impermeable and relatively strong material, and can have an absorbent lining.
