Abstract

The splint is formed by folding a single sheet to define a pair of channels connected at a transverse fold line. The lateral walls (6,7) of the channels include one or more holes (8) close to the transverse fold, corresponding with each other to allow locking of the two channels at a required angle relative to each other. Separate fasteners (12) are provided, consisting of a shaft (10) with an enlarged head (11) for insertion and retention in the holes by a push fit. The channels have strips of self-adhesive material arranged transversely at selected positions, for retention and immobilisation of a limb in the splint.
