L'invention concerne un nouvel enrobé à froid formé d'un squelette minéral associé à un liant, ledit liant résultant du mélange d'un premier liant hydrocarboné et d'un second liant hydraulique. L'invention concerne également une émulsion destinée à la réalisation d'un enrobé à froid. Elle concerne en dernier lieu l'application des enrobés à froid aux revêtements routiers. De nos jours, les revêtements routiers sont réalisés par deux techniques qui diffèrent par la nature des liants qui sont utilisés pour enrober les graves. L'invention est maintenant illustrée à titre indicatif par l'exemple suivant
Dans un malaxeur, on introduit 930 kg de graves silico calcaire dont la courbe granulométrique s'échelonne de 0 à 20 mm, 20 kg de liant hydraulique routier (ARC3 ou CPJ45 ou autre) et 30 litres d'eau. A ce malaxeur est ajouté 30 kg d'une émulsion formée de 60 % de bitume traité selon le brevet français FR-A-2 175 610 et 40 % d'eau additionnée de 6 kg d'un mélange d'une diamine de suif et d'un sel d'ammonium quaternaire ainsi que de 4 kg d'un acide phosphonique à 75 % de concentration. Cette émulsion est également commercialisée sous la marque MICROCIM. Le malaxage à température ambiante conduit à un matériau qui présente les propriétés suivantes après 28 jours
- compacité 0,85,
- résistance à l'air 5 MPa,
