Abstract
The present invention relates to a device allowing a mountain bike saddle to obtain two saddle heights which are pre-adjusted by a system integrated on the seat tube to a control fixed on the handlebars. This mechanical system therefore allows the user who could not be comfortable in all the positions encountered during mountain bike outings to choose a saddle height according to the terrain. It consists of the mechanical system placed in the collar (9) which is part of the tube (1) with a call spring (6) which allows the rise or fall of the tube (3). Everything is controlled without getting off the bike, from the handlebars by a lever (9). This device, according to the inventor, is particularly intended for mountain biking, whether for adults or professionals.
Description
The present invention relates to a device allowing a bicycle saddle to obtain two saddle heights which are pre-adjusted by a system integrated in the seat tube and connected to a control fixed on the handlebars (ex: Mountain Bike).
...) . This results in two sitting positions on the saddle
I - on the road plan, we find a saddle position facilitating the sequence of the effort, ie - legs stretched
II - on the All Terrain plan, the irregularity of the terrain or the track leads the user to take different positions. It is therefore necessary to be suspended on the legs, i.e. - bent legs
Consequently, this mechanical system has two positions of saddle tubes which are preset # - legs stretched out - to make dishes, ie the high saddle (figure 1), # - legs bent - to make All terrain or of the descent, ie Low saddle (Figure 2).
Si l'utilisation commence par du terrain plat, il prendra la position haute (figure 1 )en actionnant la manette 9, ce qui libère la gâche 8, et le ressort 6 fera remonter le tube 3 en position figure 1.If the use begins with flat ground, it will take the high position (figure 1) by actuating the lever 9, which releases the keeper 8, and the spring 6 will raise the tube 3 in position figure 1.
On the other hand, if the user wants to attack from the All Terrain, he will actuate the lever 9 then exert a pressure on the saddle by sitting on it, and the second position will be automatically put in place with blocking by the keeper 8, c 'is to say in the low position (Figure 2).
The mechanical system therefore consists of: a main tube 1 identical to a normal All Terrain saddle tube, with at the top of this tube 1 a flange 2 housing the mechanical system (Figure 3).
On this tube 3 two notches are made, one at the top 5, the other at the bottom 4, or comes to place a keeper 8 included in the collar 2 allowing the tube 3 to be blocked on the two positions (Figure 1 and Figure 2).
Ce déplacement est possible entre 4 et 5 grâce à un ressort 6 placé à la base du tube 1.This movement is possible between 4 and 5 thanks to a spring 6 placed at the base of the tube 1.
This spring 6 allows the tube 3 to automatically return to the high position (Figure 2).
le réglage de cette position (figure 2) est effectué par une vis 7 située à la base du tube 1. the adjustment of this position (figure 2) is carried out by a screw 7 located at the base of the tube 1.
It is understood that this lever allows the two positions.
The flange 2 therefore accommodates the mechanical system comprising the keeper 8.I1 is possible to have a pressure adjustment on the tube 3 to facilitate movement between the two positions (Figure 1, Figure 2). This pressure is due to a spring 10 which is adjustable by means of a screw 1 1 which is also the sheath stop 12 coming from the lever.
According to particular embodiments, it is imperative to reduce the friction between the tube l and the tube 3. Therefore, on the end of the keeper 8 is placed a ball bearing system 13 to overcome this problem.
De même, sont placées deux vis à billes 14 (figure 3) pour équilibrer la pression exercée par le ressort 10 lors du déplacement du tube 3 dans le tube 1.Likewise, two ball screws 14 (FIG. 3) are placed to balance the pressure exerted by the spring 10 during the displacement of the tube 3 in the tube 1.
For a question of rigidity and to avoid rotation of the seat tube 3, there are provided on this same tube 3 three grooves 15 along the length of the movement.
This device is particularly intended for cycling in general, whether for the professional or the general public.
