Abstract

The candlestick includes a base (1), and stand with a wide top section (4) in which a candle (5) may be supported. Inside the base is a printed circuit (2), and a battery (6). The base also has a connector receiving a plug attached to a mains supply lead (P). The battery and printed circuit board are associated with a small lamp which is mounted beneath the candle. When the mains power fails, the circuit operates to switch on the battery powered lamp for a timed interval.

  The purpose of the electronic circuit is to trigger the timed illumination of the bulb 15 when the mains current is interrupted, its principle is as follows: Use of the mains for recharging the capacitor C2 via the diode D4 (+ 10V ) and blocking of transistor T1 by

  diode D2 (+ 10V).

  The mounting of the resistors R1 and R2 as well as of the diode D1 and of the zener Z makes it possible to lower and straighten the mains voltage to 10V, since Z has the role of limiting the voltage to 10 V; capacitor C1

  is essential for blocking T1.

  When the sector disappears, the voltages at diodes D2 and D4 fall to zero, consequently, the blocking of T1 disappears and the capacitor C2 discharges in the resistors R3 and R6, which makes the

  transistors T1 and T2 passing o of lamp ignition 15.

  The role of the diode D3 and of the resistor R4 makes it possible to perfect the blocking of the transistor T1 when the assembly is at rest, that is to say when the time delay has elapsed, hence consumption of the battery 6 is zero. . The push button 18 makes it possible to restart the timed illumination of the lamp 15; resistor R5 serves as bias for transistor T1

  and current limiter in transistor T2.

Claims (9)

Candlestick or support of at least one bougle characterized in that it is capable of becoming luminous during a power cut and this, thanks to a battery (6) or battery incorporated in an electronic triggering system ( C1, C2, RI, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, T1, T2, Dl, D2, D3, D4, Z). 2.
